A little further though is that this is a loophole apparently where Ren paid for a beat, and everything was all good until now when the other party saw how successful it has been and realized there was some kind of error by Ren's publisher paying the other party so only bc they can have decided to threaten the song/video by saying they will just take the whole profit if Ren and his side don't agree to give them a giant cut. It's ironic this happens to a song talking about the music business being cut throat.

Still waiting for Webby to announce when he's putting out his Collab with Ren since they filmed the music video in April. Ren is going to be dropping his first single from his new upcoming album August 15. He's performing at the Secret Garden Party in the UK - so happy to see he is feeling well enough to perform.... And I guess Ren plans on moving to the states before the end of the year because it will be better for his music career and it will be easier to get back and forth to Canada every couple of months to continue treatment

Ren has been posting today about some legal issues he's having with his song Sick Boi (which currently has been removed from yt) and how he had thought he had come to an agreement about the situation (which was not his fault but which he's still liable for in some way) and now the lawyers for the other party are not agreeing to what Ren and the other party had agreed to prior to the lawyers getting involved (at least this is what I understand from what I've read - please feel free to clarify if anyone has better insight into this.) We need to support these independent artists as much as possible so that the music industry can't mess with them.
