Shady is such a clown and it's what made me love him back in the day. He has shit in his music that someone from every group misses, and that's what sets him a part (IMHO) He grew up in a trailer park, down the road from the hip hop culture and had a shitty life, so he was drawn to it and immersed himself in that culture. He connected to it..BUT... he IS, white, so when he went back down the road he was subjected to the shit that the people aroumd him were into, and it influenced him as well. So, I can listen to a track and miss some of the hip hop refrences that hip hop heads all cach, but I've caught shit that they never catch because it's unlikely their peers were subjected to it. Em got both world influence, and I bet there is subtle shit in there that we all miss.. he is that talented. He writes what he wants to. I don't love all of his shit. Some of it doesn't resonate with me, but I have to respect the talent. He broke barriers and that's a beautiful thing!
