Also I don't think people have caught on to the reason for the name of the album yet. Its not called Death of Slim Shady because he's killing him off, its called Death of Slim Shady because Slim Shady is about to commit career suicide in his biggest attempt to get himself cancelled (his last trick).

Actually, a meat-packing plant (their uniforms say “Detroit Shipping “ and the meat packing plants handle everything… slaughter, packaging, shipping etc. A. Most blatant reference is “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. Leatherface holds his victims in a slaughterhouse and uses a chainsaw. His mask is made of human….well, you know. B. Detroit is known for their slaughterhouses (the classic by Vonnegut “Slaughterhouse Five” takes place in Chicago. The area just has this history with the meat industry. C. The stuff that occurs in those, well, shady and friends seem to be quite capable of similar bloodshed though they may have non animal/very much living human subjects XD I could go on and on but you get the point

2024-07-09 21:35:39 +0000 UTCI still am obsessively analyzing the video. I love cinematography and Cole Bennett is one of my fave directors/cinematographers. Now that you mention it, horror and humor have this…odd relationship. Apart from the whole concept of dark/gallows humor, there are horror films but they’re so bad you laugh? And and some dark comedy has some gory aspects (it’s all about sub genres.) I love the whole thing they did with the Jason Hockey mask etc because throughout the piece there’s been that melody. Very reminiscent of classic horror movie music. Heck, there’s a bit (around the time BabyTron is on that roof? When there’s this synth type guitar (or was it more bass?) distortion happening. A similar effect appears on the Halloween 2018 soundtrack and it’s, yes, raining during a lot of that. Not saying that’s been sampled or even the inspiration…all these things are classic horror music themes and motifs.

When he says "got dissed by a pioneer" he walks past a graffiti peace sign which I think was his initial POV and then the tone starts to change as he's walking past a picture of slim shady and then by the time he says "that man is a legend, bitch so am I". He finishes at a pic of the eminem show. FIRE.
