I started listening to Eminem in 6th grade and all I knew was that he taught me how to be a better person and friend. (Yes, Em!) I did not understand bars or cadence in 6th grade now that I am 36 I relate even more that I do understand.

2024-01-05 17:04:39 +0000 UTCFor me it was absolutely his transparency. I was not a fan of SSLP or his music at all until The Eminem Show, the stories he shared about himself captivated me. I listened to the TES for months straight trying to sort out all the details of his life that he shared and once I understood him more I went back to the SSLP and MMLP and had a newfound appreciation for his lyrics and style of writing - been hooked since always wanting to hear what he's gonna say next!
