He has been playing the flute for a long time. He’s an extremely creative individual thus he needs many different outlets. Usually, more talented artists have played with a lot of different people, in many different genres and can play several different instruments. This just reiterates how talented Andre is. Another artist who comes to mind instantly is Chris Cornell. He was in three bands and featured with countless others and even recorded an entire album by himself. Played drums, guitar, bass, piano and more and performed songs from several different genres. He refused to be labelled as one thing. It’s a good thing. If Andre is happy, he’s more likely to return to rap.
