so unfortunately a lot of the times on these music shows (mcountdown, music bank, etc) they arent allowed to actually play their instruments as it costs a lot of money. so it's really just them showing off their gorgeous vocals on music shows for the most part lol but there are exceptions! Sometimes they will be given the chance to play with real instruments on stage on occasion (especially more recently) mcountdown seems to usually let them play live these days which is nice. i found a good way to tell when it's live is when they have the guitar pedals in front of their feet + when there's extra picks on their micstand (the little triangles that stick out!) and of course the fact that the instruments actually sound live. i'm glad theyre able to perform more often on these shows with live instruments these days because they're a band at the end of the day and i can't imagine how annoying it must be to just fake play their instrument (especially for junhan and gunil) !!! these performances where they arent live though are funny because sometimes the members are just messing around and not even trying to look like they're playing correctly hfghffjhgj especially junhan
