Some comments on the 2025 anniversary post (go read that, btw) reminded me that I never posted the updated Kushiel cover art or even Chloe's cover for the eventual Neural Wraith omnibus (god knows when that will happen lmao).

There's an old post about the Kushiel art, but this updated version changes the lighting and some clothing details. Also, I went back to my artist earlier this year and got her to change the vehicle because jfc, I did not want the truck from the original version on a book I published (I now avoid any vehicles or logos associated with IRL companies like the plague, and should have to begin with).

This cover is one of my favorites my artist has done, although she also drew it at a time when she was changing the way she did her lighting (and a few other things), so it's almost like seeing her old and new styles collide. Jiuge actually sent me an updated version with huge lighting changes after I thought the cover was finished, so I even got to see the shift, which only became more pronounced with future covers. Not that her style has changed radically, but I've been working with her for four years now, so I've definitely seen the change.

With any luck, you'll see this on a book soon-ish, but I can't give a timeline.

Also, I'm super inconsistent about what membership level I post covers to, and need to fix that. It doesn't help that I'm also inconsistent about posting covers, and there's often a years-plus gap between getting covers done and using them.
