Mob 5 Launch is Fucked, Resuming Billing

If you've somehow missed it, Amazon fucked up the Mob Sorcery 5 pre-order and it's completely stuffed the launch. No clue how bad it will be long-term, but launch day looks to be my worst in years. The algo looks confused by the messed up pre-orders and presumably people cancelling orders for the book so they can actually buy it, so I'm getting punished by Amazon's incompetence. Maybe it will fix itself over the coming days, but I don't have much hope as Amazon's algo ime relies on momentum and a bad launch ruins that.

If your pre-order hadn't gone through, you should assume it won't and buy the book again (and get your pre-order cancelled somehow). Amazon has told me that all pre-orders have been fulfilled on their end, so you apparently don't exist. I guess whoever did server maintenance during the outage used ChatGPT.

I'm resuming Patreon billing because this is kind of what Patreon is for. A horrific launch like this means I make a lot less money than I otherwise should.

There won't be any new chapters for a while. I suspect I'll be returning from break earlier than planned out of necessity. If you don't want to support me and only want new chapters, unsub from Patreon.

I will still post a more positive update in a couple of days, and will resist the urge to edit it given my horrific mood.
