April Public Update

Easter approaches, but I don’t have any eggs, only the words for a writing update.

• Mob Sorcery 4 is out, if you somehow haven’t noticed. It’s done very well, and a huge thanks to everyone who reviewed, shared, or talked about it. It’s my 20th book, and I hit a milestone with this release that I never thought I’d achieve as an author.

• Mob Sorcery 5 chapters are underway on Patreon, but these will only be the first half of the book before I move on to Demon’s Throne 4 (as per the schedule). This time, I won’t change my mind. DT4 is the next book. I don’t have a precise date for DT4, and there’s a reason why the dates are just “2025” on the schedule. I’m not providing more precise dates until I know more, because people keep complaining if I ever shuffle dates around. There’s only a schedule at all because I was asked to give some indication of what I plan to release this year.

• I have a small schedule update. The focus this year is on returning to past series and finishing Neural Wraith. I plan to write books 4 and 5 of Neural Wraith at the same time, but release them with a book between them (to limit any potential damage caused by the series diminished popularity). Book 5 will be the end of Neural Wraith.

• Audio-wise, Mob Sorcery 3 will be out in July and Book 4 has a very preliminary release date of September.

In a non-news related topic, anyone who pre-ordered Mob 4 or who picked it up on the first day would have noticed how scuffed it was. A lot of people know why, but the short version is that I messed up and didn’t incorporate a lot of proofreading corrections into the uploaded manuscript. The corrected version was uploaded within 24 hours, but Amazon rarely updates ebooks once you’ve downloaded it for the first time (and no, redownloading it won’t help - Amazon will keep downloading the copy from when you first downloaded it). I’ll add a final check in the future before I upload the final manuscript to Amazon that should hopefully stop this in the future.
