August Patreon Update

I haven't had much to say this month while I've been busy with Spellblade 6. Despite a rocky start, it's finally going and moving at a pace I'm happy with. The book is shaping up like Spellblade 4, where I have a bunch of events that I need to get through and the hard part is pacing them. I need to stop myself from nitpicking too hard, as that's stalled me out at times recently.

In good news, the Spellblade 6 pre-order should go up right around the time Mob Sorcery releases (probably a bit earlier after the problems I had getting the pre-order up for Mob). Planned release date is the 30th Sep.

In less good news, I won't put up the pre-order for Spellblade 7 at the same time as I'm not yet confident I'll have it done in time. I am keen to avoid repeating the mistakes I made with Neural Wraith 3. The pre-order will go up when I know I can make the release date and not implode from stress.

Podium gave me some updates on audio, although these are very tentative. Spellblade 6 should record in October, followed by Mob Sorcery in November. So it's possible both audiobooks are out by the end of the year, but don't quote me on that. Stephanie Savannah is confirmed as narrator for Mob Sorcery, which hopefully makes everyone happy. Having a single narrator for almost all of my series is probably the strongest aspect of my audio library, even if I have no real presence there.

Things should stabilize for me for at least the rest of the year. Although it's been rough so far, I have three books coming out in quick (for me) succession. Even though I expect each to make a fair bit less than my past releases, just based on the soft pre-orders for Mob, that's still three books. And I've received a ton of support from everyone here on Patreon, which has grown a lot over the past few months. Hopefully I'm able to avoid any more really dramatic posts about my future.
