Major Update: Demon's Throne Audiobooks
Added 2022-07-15 15:44:05 +0000 UTCSo, this has been an unexpectedly busy week for me, and not in the writing sense. This is partly why I'm late with the Spellblade chapters, as I've been focused on another matter (probably too focused, as it turns out).
In short, I've made the decision to part ways with Audiobook Guild. I won’t go into detail about the reasons why, but I'll say that they've done right by me. I still stand by my previous comments about Audible, but things are what they are. I won't make any detailed comments about how things went down beyond this.
The Demon's Throne audiobooks will leave the ABG store immediately (if they haven’t already). If you already bought them, they should still be available through Bookfunnel.
I don't know exactly what I'll do with the audio next, but I can guarantee the new release will be on Audible. I will be rerecording them with a new narrator (or narrators) - I don't know if that will be Steph, as she just picked up two new series, including Neural Wraith. Although some people enjoyed the existing audiobooks, I got a lot of complaints about them as well, so I think a fresh start is best.
I will look into how I can provide free copies of the new version to at least some people who bought the old one. Unfortunately, I don't tknow if there is any great solution here, as has happened when authors change narrators and rerecord in the past. I won't blame people if they feel burned by this situation but I'll see what I can do.
Hopefully I have an announcement on my plans for Demon's Throne audio in my August update. Spellblade chapters will finally be up this weekend, as I won't be distracted by behind-the-scenes stuff.

Fort the most parts i enjoyed all 3 of them and a lot of voices were great, but i can understand the complaints some people had. Now i can think of them as kind of collectors edition :D

I was on the beta listening for book 2 and for me there were definitly some of the voices that I felt didn't fit or fitted other characters better. But as I wasn't on book 1 it wasn't really something that could've been changed. They still were fine overall though. I do like dual narration, but it has it's ups and downs as well. When you release the rerecordings on Audible, I will definitely get them myself again.
