Old packs sending tomorrow + Important question!
Added 2020-01-28 03:50:31 +0000 UTCHello patrons! I'm finally (somewhat) catching up with all my obligations ever since the move.
It's still pretty wild, and I might only manage two pages of ICFOS this month (although I'll see how I may catch up, but I'm doing my best!).
I just want to announce that I will be sending out old packs for the $12 and $16 tiers tomorrow. $12 tier patrons can request one old pack, $16 tier patrons can request two.
If you haven't done so yet, please use this form to request packs!
BUT I HAVE AN IMPORTANT QUESTION
I'd like to know if anyone knows some way to automate this process. I.E: some website where people may use some credentials to get a limited download a month (I.E: 1 file for the $12 tier, 2 for the $16 tier), or some other way to simplify it.
Pack-sending is time consuming given the number of patrons and individual requests each month, and given the increasing amount of commitments to the Patreon (the Alex minicomic + SMQ content creation) and real life obligations, I'm finding myself stretched thin!
So, I absolutely welcome suggestions on this regard! Thank you in advance!

Hmm, I'm in favour of anything that simplifies things for you. I say give it a try and see how it goes.

2020-01-28 18:28:58 +0000 UTCMm, my concern with that is, for example, how to limit the amount of times a code can be used. Which leads to some questions! If you don't mind me discussing them: Let's say, hypothetically, I have 50 patrons on a tier where they can request two packs. If I send all those patrons download codes to get packs for free, would that mean I would have to generate a different code for every patron, with a two-use limit? This task would take about as much time as it takes me to send packs too, as I would have to send dozens of individual messages. And if I send everyone the same code, how does one enforce the two-use limit, if everyone has the code? Another concern is the codes being leaked. After all, it would take but one code going out to have all the packs raided from my gumroad store. Or maybe I'm missing some key detail about this that I don't understand

2020-01-28 08:05:47 +0000 UTCOh? That sounds interesting! But I'm not sure I understand! X_X Could you please explain what you mean a bit better? I thought Mailchimp was for making mailing lists.

2020-01-28 07:56:47 +0000 UTCHave you had a look at the official Zapier integrations from patreon? https://zapier.com/apps/patreon. MailChimp integration could be your solution. Else, you could do a 'mail-merge' type of thing with the patreon API and an automatic email-based system. Ask other patreon creators?

2020-01-28 07:46:33 +0000 UTCI don't know of an existing service for that kind of thing, but patreon does have an API that can be used to get patron data including emails and pledge levels, so you could theoretically have someone build you a website to do it. It would be a decent amount of fairly technical labor though, so it might be costly.

2020-01-28 06:38:20 +0000 UTCIf you have all your packs on gumroad, you can send codes to patrons that will allow them to download the packs they requested for free at checkout. I'm not sure how automated it is, but it's probably easier than sending individual files through google drive.
