And let's not forget that ordering Daenerys' murder was his only ruling act. He told Cersei, "Our purpose died with the Mad King. All we have now is backstabbing and scheming," as if after the Mad King, it wasn't he "ruling" the kingdoms.

2025-06-05 00:05:53 +0000 UTCI always find it so interesting when people say they really like King Robert. Objectively, he's not a good king. He's too quick to anger and lash out (if he were a woman we'd say he was too emotional). He ordered Lady to be killed (yes, Cersei suggested it, but he agreed and gave the order), he openly disrespects his wife by snogging a stranger in front of her in Winterfell, he hits his wife, and he orders the murder of a pregnant woman. I know the actor does a good job to portray him in a way that we sympathise with him, but still... interesting.
