On the swastika. It was not just common in south relations (like you mentioned indian etc), we also see it in some of the more north tribes, e.g. one of baltic states also have it as a part of traditional simbols - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugunskrusts which can be litterly translated as fire or thunder cross. (Which was there before Nazi occupation of Latvia, as seen in it being present as ornament on clothing and jewellery.

2024-11-30 21:48:52 +0000 UTCIf I may, I'd like to point you guys in the direction of two German language films ~ one made way back in 2004 called Der Untergang [English: The Downfall] which covers the final days of Hitler's life and was the first German film to feature Hitler as one of the main characters rather than only in a cameo role often shot from behind so as not to show the face in many decades, and Goebbels And The Fuhrer, which I should not need to describe what it's about and is being made available on DVD even as we speak. And, yes, I honestly believe the Wehrmacht and the S.S. were equally guilty when it came to war crimes committed against allied personnel and civilians, since both organisations followed Hitler's orders without question and contained men who were prepared to believe the Nazis' doctrine even as the Red Army was blowing Berlin to pieces in 1945. [Here's looking at you, Keitel, and you too, Jodl ~ you got what you deserved and the world now knows the Nazis for the monsters they were.]
