Hey extra history have you ever thought about doing a series on Cyrus the great and the Achaemenid Persian Empire? No other historical channel on YouTube has ever done that before and I think it would be exciting to see actual Persian sources instead of very biased and not true Greek sources.

If you talk to most British people about the American Revolutionary War and ask them about Benedict Arnold, they'll just say "Benedict who?" and I myself remember that, when I was in School in London, the American Revolutionary War wasn't even mentioned in history classes, although we did briefly cover the American Civil War. Ordinarily, when it comes to historical disputes, speaking as someone born and raised [and spent her entire life] in England, my natural inclination is to side with the Brits, even though I know how the story ends. I'm also told my own ancestors in this time period were making cannon balls for the British Army, presumably with no health or safety and, if you got injured, absolutely no chance of any monetary compensation.

You get a controversy! And you get a controversy! Everyone gets a controversy!

As a resident of Quebec, I will point out that referring to Quebec as "Canada", especially in the era you're talking about, is pretty politically fraught. And still quite fraught today, depending who you ask.

Veteran of the Mushroom Wars

I don't see why you're worried, it is well known that Arnold's is a tale of unequivocal and craven betrayal. *Surely* nobody will take issue with the channel merely adding some detail to the story.

Something tells me this is probably going to be controversial... Brief lamb update: Dot the lamb's tail has just fallen off.
