I think you've done an excellent job of incorporating some features that tie to Sam's face, but he's still your own version. I love his too big ears, and wider tip of the nose, and his buck-teeth are just so endearing. I also love how you draw him size wise. You still make him tall and strong looking, but he's still a bit lanky like a good ol' British lad. Your version is how I picture him when I'm reading a fic.
