Here, if you were hanged for murder they used to parade your corpse through the streets, dump you face down into a hole and then drive a steak through your heart to prevent you from rising from the dead in front of thousands of people. The British Parliament eventually passed a law that made driving a stake through corpses illegal, which put a stop to this practice.

The main writer for the series, Jac, has moved on to greener pastures, and in their absence, the EC crew decided to take the opportunity to launch the new So You Haven't Read series which had been floating around for a while prior. Extra Mythology isn't necessarily dead, but it's currently on vacation for an undetermined amount of time.

Jeez louise. They be crazy people, and only 130 years ago. I can see that happening even now., especially with the growing anti-common-sense/anti-science world. Of course, then, the community thot it WAS "common sense". Scary as sh*t.

Man that is so heartbreaking and disgusting. It sucks that there was no cure back then, but damn it seemed that the "ritual" was performed so the town could feel more comfortable rather than helping the living.
