Persephone & Hades - A Match Made in Hell - Extra Mythology
Added 2020-09-01 17:31:54 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite myths mostly for how many times it's been retold and reinterpreted. Are Persephone and Hades a hostage situation or star crossed lovers? Demeter a doting mother or over protective matron? A mixture of both???

How about if we say that the God of the Underworld kidnapped his niece and took her to the land of the dead? I think that'll work until the philosophers get around to developing Science."

2020-09-03 13:54:14 +0000 UTCThis story is always fascinating to me because of all the different variations on the myth. I always, admittedly, prefer the version of this where Persephone is kind of in on it and is trying to get away from her overbearing mother.

Hades getting his advice, not the greatest move... but then again, he didn't force himself on Persephone; Hades legit wanted her to like him so... better then Zeus is nothing else.
