Mythology of The Witcher - The Wild Hunt - Extra Mythology

I've always heard of the stories of the Wild Hunt being associated with the Fae. Do you have any local stories of the Wild Hunt?

Re: Megabyte01's comment: hard same. I'd have preferred less (and less spoilery) details about the Witcher version and more about the Welsh, continental, etc. originals.

If I might give my honest feedback to your question about mythologies from games going forward, it's this: don't forget to keep it focused on the historical peoples and context when you can. Don't get me wrong: I loved learning that the wild hunt is based on actual mythology! Still, this episode felt a just little less focused than previous entries. I acknowledge that might be partially due to the source material

Thanks for the background for the game, and the look at broader, deeper mythology. It's not the kind of game I play, but maybe one of the people I follow online will play it, and I'll better understand what's going on.

French-Canadian folklore has a tale called the "Chasse-Galerie" about a group of men flying through the sky on an enchanted canoe after making a deal with the Devil. It is thought the story arose from a blending of the Wild Hunt, brought by French settlers, and local First Nations traditions.
