It is safe to delete the old client versions, as your saves are stored in a separate location.

It is not safe to load a character in an older version after you have already loaded in a newer version. This will cause a save corruption in some circumstances.

New

Added 2 new Music Tracks - "Village Days" and "Forests and Clear Skies" (Names TBC).
Added functionality to the Music Button in the footer of the game. On hover, it will provide options to skip the track or toggle Mute for Music only. It also displays the current Track playing.

Changes

Default SFX audio level is now 50% instead of 75%.
Default Screen Mode is now Windowed instead of Borderless.
Default Display Size is now 1920x1080.
Default Dim the Lights setting is now 30% instead of 20%.

Fixes

Fix incorrect Dragonite Bar cost for Dragon Fishing Rod.
Fix incorrect level unlock for Gold Bar in Smithing.
Fix incorrect Hard Oak level requirement in Firemaking.
Fix being unable to load the oldest backup save when you have reached max backups.
Fix cloud saves making more network calls than intended.
Fix save backup export not working correctly.
Fix error with music notification attempting to fire while already present.
Remove unnecessary debug logging from certain sections of the game.
Fix buy/sell audio not firing if you disabled currency notifications.
