Dev Update #4 - Our First Survey & Alpha Progress Update

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to another weekly news post. This week, we have our very first Patreon Survey, as well as an update on the progress of the Alpha release.

Progress Update on the Alpha

We can happily say that the release of the Alpha is 1-2 weeks away. It’s close to a state where the team is happy to open the flood gates and start gathering that early feedback.

In next week’s news post, we plan to share the Alpha update roadmap so you can see what major Skills & Features are coming in what update. The survey listed below will assist the team with scheduling certain features to be added based on your response.

Our first survey is now live!

From now, through Alpha and Early Access, we want to gather feedback from you via the use of Surveys.

The main purpose of this first survey is to gather opinions on what planned features you the value most! It’s a pretty basic survey to start with, but the responses will help a lot with planning and prioritisation from our side.

Please take the time to answer these surveys if you can, as they will help us greatly improve the experience for both you and everyone else!

Survey responses are anonymous, as we do not collect emails or information on who is filling it out. It does, however, require you to use a Google account to respond as this is the only way we can limit the survey to 1 response per person.

What we have been working on 

Here is what we’ve been working on since last week.

Development

Malcs:

• Added “Recent News” feed in the game that displays the latest posts from Patreon.

• Implemented the initial Completion Log (Items & Skills).

• More UI touch ups.

• Has drafted an initial Alpha Update Roadmap, pending survey responses.

• Added Debug Logging to the game.

• Many more small miscellaneous additions.

Coolrox:

• Finished up the Statistics system.

• Working on the release management process for different operating systems, making sure it includes project versions, distribution processes etc.

• Squashed some of Malcs’ bugs.

Game Design

Prat:

• Finalised the initial plan for Agility. Requires more adjustments but the concept is looking good.

• Is now working on C???????????

Artwork

Tapi:

• Continuing work on / finalizing the background for the in-game Shop.

Similar to last week, there isn’t too much to recap from last week’s post, but we’ll add some clarifications here just in case. 

Hey, will alpha progression carry over to the eventual Early Access version?

Yes, it will if you wish to keep your save. We do recommend restarting your character when more content is added to get the full and intended experience though.
