Why, these look a little familiar! Say hello to a group of patron-suggested topics from the past past polls. They were not lucky enough to win the first time, but they get a second chance! And you get decide which one dons the cloak of victory this time.
Current Schedule: Articles of Confederation --> Bronze Age Collapse --> Great Northern War

Nah, it isn't that important, it just powers like 75% of everything

2017-05-01 17:43:20 +0000 UTC@Arthur: It sounds like its more than that. What you're suggesting would be a very silly thing to get dramatic about. @Soraya: If its no ones business why did he....oh nevermind. I'll butt out of it. Very happy with the topics this time around :)

2017-04-30 21:38:12 +0000 UTCWell of course Bismarck lost before we voted for the other topics. Just a joke about Bismarck calculating nature, since it seems he will win with the highest approval rating in Extra Credits history. The First Opium War has the current highest at 65%: he's at 70% as of writing this. Besides we been adding narrative to Extra Credits votes since this series began, like the Brothers Gracchi "rigged" the vote since they beat Catherine the Great by 1 vote on International Women's Day or how resilient Simon Bolivar was enduring 3 losses before winning the vote. And of course Alexander could've won if there were less interesting topics up for consideration, which could be said of all the other perennial topic candidates. I really doubt his ability to win: Every vote he has been blown out of the water. vs Sengoku Jidai 52 to 25, vs Zulus 44 to 23, etc... The fact of the matter is Alexander the Great is usually a taught in standard history curriculum in the US so it's one those topics that people heard about and think they know about. And as you know we prefer more obscure topics or with the case of Great Northern War and Bismarck long standing in the community.

2017-04-30 16:15:08 +0000 UTCOil because it's fascinating. Bismark because we've been waiting for extra Bismark since the WWI series. Lets see what happens!

2017-04-30 13:41:13 +0000 UTC@Jeffrey: From memory, poor Martin here has very unfortunate luck and tends to back topics that don't get voted in. It's disappointing the fellow a bit. Hope whatever makes it in this time is of interest to you, o one with the kitty profile picture!

2017-04-30 13:20:12 +0000 UTCAlexander'll have a better chance with Bismarck and the Great Northern War out of the way. No, Bismarck didn't intentionally lose to Justinian or the Late Bronze Age; he lost because People Voted for those Subjects.

2017-04-30 12:45:10 +0000 UTCPhew, saved by the Bell. Or rather by the Comment; I don't Think there are any Bells here unless Alexander Graham wins the Raffle One Day. How do you Provide a Link to my Topic Suggestions, and is there a way to start a new Paragraph other than pressing the Shift Key and the Enter Key at the same Time?
Martin Verran
2017-04-30 12:40:06 +0000 UTCBismark, no question. But please keep bringing the other topics back for future votes!!

2017-04-30 07:42:43 +0000 UTCThis is such a no contest. Bismarck has been maneuvering for this moment ever since you said he deserved a series all for himself way back in the Prelude to WW1, the first regular EH series. And now he is ready to the take the mantle of Extra Credits series topic after intentionally losing to Justinian and the Late Bronze Age earlier. Not even Alexander's generalship or Rasputin's mystical powers can stop him. Feel sorry for any Alexander the Great supporters. This will be the fifth loss in a row for him.

2017-04-30 03:05:33 +0000 UTCMy (Soraya's) opinion is that it's no one's business unless Martin chooses to share. Martin, feel free to post a link to your topic suggestions if you'd like! And I will go back to lurking, because I do not want to influence the vote with my chatter. :)

2017-04-30 00:49:52 +0000 UTCI don't know who Soraya is and I don't know who you are. You're clearly reminded of it anyway so why not just explain it?
Jeffrey Schneider
2017-04-29 23:58:15 +0000 UTCPlease refer that Question to Soraya, as I'd rather not be reminded, speaking for myself.

2017-04-29 23:45:45 +0000 UTCWhat happened last time?
Jeffrey Schneider
2017-04-29 23:34:22 +0000 UTCI hate when a bunch of topics I want to see turn up, while I know that I'll probably get to see one that I like I know that I won't be able to see the other ones yet

2017-04-29 23:25:12 +0000 UTCP.S: If there are any $8 Tier Patreons looking for ideas for Topics to suggest to EH, I posted a list of some on the Community Page. I keep wanting to update my Pledge to $8 but I never get round to it.

2017-04-29 23:01:29 +0000 UTCWell, here we go again, and once again I find myself tempted to Vote "Pass" because almost everything I Vote for loses and because of what happened last Time. And, since I can't Guarantee there won't be a Repeat of what happened last Time, I'm not going to try. I don't want to make promises I Know full well I might not necessarily be able to keep.

2017-04-29 22:50:21 +0000 UTCI see Bismark is an early leader but I feel we already got some knowledge on him in the WWI video. I think the other 3 hold promise for brand new info. I'm kind of itching to return to antiquity. The Hannibal videos that started this channel were great. I'd love to hear about Alexanders' battles and the reasons why he was so successful in creating an empire larger than Rome would ever be. But like I said, any of the 4 would be awesome. Really happy with the selection this time :)

2017-04-29 22:22:21 +0000 UTCWow these are ALL great. I don't know what to pick.
