I hope you are doing good!

Today, I‘m announcing a meetup where I’ll try to answer a question with you that seems ridiculously trivial: What is creative coding?

Taking a closer look, it becomes clear that it's not that simple. One problem with abstract terms like “creative coding” is that they are understood and used differently in different contexts. Is it even possible to create a universal definition? We tend to answer “yes,” but ever since ancient times, when the philosopher Socrates strolled through the marketplaces of ancient Athens asking people questions like “What is justice?” we have learned that many of these questions lead to the void: They end in what is known as an aporia – a logically impossible situation in which nothing is clear anymore.

Some terms simply cannot be defined with precision. Does this also apply to creative coding? What definitions do exist? Which ones are helpful, and which ones are less helpful? I am very much looking forward to this meetup with you!
