These guys are brilliant and its perfect for the Admiral Yi series.

And this is one of the few good reference books in English http://www.amazon.com/Khalid-Bin-Al-waleed-Biographical-Greatest/dp/0954866525 where the Author learned Arabic to make it. There have been some other scholarly books released since however.

Thanks for replying, I love all your stuff and have been a fan for years now (despite hardly ever playing games, not being interested in design). I mentioned him because like Admiral Yi, he's often overlooked in the west, reducing his military campaigns to a shrugged "the Persians and Romans were exhausted so they won easily" when it doesn't make sense historically speaking, and is an insult to those that died defending their territory first and the military genius of Khalid second. He's arguably, from an objective stand point the greatest military leader in history, taking on the two biggest, wealthiest and most populous empires in the world at the same time and prevailing. When the sassanids first met the Muslims on the battlefield they were told that they were like an ant fighting a lion, having them win on the field wasn't even considered as a possibility. Add all of that to the fact that unlike Genghis and Alexander all the territories taken remained in the fold to this day, despite his armies being not even a fraction of the population (Egypt alone had a population of over20 million http://members.optusnet.com.au/exponentialist/Exponential%20Growth_files/Egypt.gif ). Thanks for all the good stuff!

I would love that myself! We'll have to talk it over and see if it's something we can do.

Extra History

I would love to do a series on him, but I can't promise anything! I will say that we want to include more history from the Middle East, but as the series is still (relatively) new, there are a still a LOT of parts of the world we want to cover that haven't been touched on yet. Still, thanks for bringing that name to my attention!

Extra History

It will be! Well, all the previous themes which the Kiners created, which goes back to the Zulu series. :D

Extra History

I would love that. Definitely something we can discuss within the team and with the Kiners!

Extra History

Yea good idea, maybe the next milestone could be for soundtrack ?

Sveinn Örvarsson

Would love to see this done for all the previous themes. I love them all.

Since you're doing shows about obscure military commanders and recently had the middle east, why don't you do a series about Khalid Ibn Al-Walid? During his rule as commander he single handedly conquered more territory than Rome did in 900 years, taking on Persia, Byzantium and rebels simultaneously, he has won over 50 major battles, over a 100 in total, always outnumbered, sometimes 5 to 1 and was never defeated. Despite Arabs historically only fighting in small skirmishes rather than large battles with armies. He's the reason why the Rashidun Caliphate expansion looks like an explosion, despite them having a fraction of the population or the resources their neighboring ancient established empires have. He has more credit to his name than Alexander and Caesar combined, not even Genghis can compare as his relatives often lead the actual battles. It is by no means a stretch that the man, dubbed sword of God changed the course of history and civilisation.

I love this music. The Kiner brothers do awesometacular work, I just wish it was longer. May I suggest for a future milestone goal commissioning a downloadable full 3 to 5 min version theme for each series like the 15,000 goal for full page art but for the music.

Marco Honrade

Ha! That would be fun.

We do take viewer suggestions at the $15 level, provided they win the raffle and the viewer vote. If you're interested in doing that, though, don't up your pledge until January 2016! Our topic suggestions are locked in for the rest of this year.

Extra History

I just love thease videos and this music was fantasic :D. If i may, id like to see you make an extra history series of the Winter war (or Russo-Finnish war) of 1939-1940. In my oppinion a very overlooked event during world war II.

Juuso Hakala

Will have to remember this for whenever CA gets around to doing China/Korea Total War. Soundtrack MOD!

Paul Chicagocanus

I know! I'm right there with ya, listening to it on repeat.

Extra History

Ugh! A minute is such a tease! Love this tune. Will have to loop it. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Turlas85

Definitely going to do both of those things! The Justinian and Crusade music will be added as we get the chance, and every new series will get its own video like this. :)

Extra History

As someone who probably has way too many soundtracks on his playlists, I approve of this. Would you consider doing something similar for the Justinian/Crusade music, and maybe make it a regular thing going forward?

RMS Oceanic

I am truly competent. Thanks for the assist!

Extra History

Darnit! I coulda sworn that link was in there. Fixed now!

Extra History

Looks like they forgot to include the actual link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYz0y5xUqmk

I see no links or embedded players. Are they coming?
