And the winner is... Justinian and Theodora!
Added 2015-03-05 08:11:27 +0000 UTCThe votes are in, and the next Extra History series (after the Zulu) will be on the reign of Justinian and Theodora in the Eastern Roman Empire!

This is awesome! Byzantine Empire is rarely covered.

2015-03-17 21:35:29 +0000 UTCMight I suggest that the topics that got the least votes be purged from reappearing in the next polls? With only 4 options to choose from, each one is precious, and from previous polls it seems that patrons prefer more unusual and unique topics that they might not have the chance to learn about elsewhere. I am not against having Ceasar and Alexander as topics, but maybe not on the same poll?

2015-03-10 00:54:41 +0000 UTCI didn't see that when I pledged and I had it on' no reward' anyhow. Fixed it so it's set right.

2015-03-09 19:12:09 +0000 UTCEven so, I'd like to figure out if there's a recurring error happening so we can fix it! But at least there will be another vote this month, since what I announced up there was the results for February. So the vote will roll around again!

2015-03-07 20:06:00 +0000 UTCYeah. Got the notification for this message, all the episodes pre and post patreon, and an email about this vote being done later, but not for the vote itself. Doesn't matter for me so much cause I'm donating as much as I want to, not for reward goals :3

2015-03-06 02:26:16 +0000 UTCYeah, I can see people's donations so I saw that Jason was a $5 patron. You should have received the vote notification, Jason, and I'm sorry you didn't! The choices were: Justinian and Theodora Life of Caesar Life of Alexander the Great Battle of First Manassas (Bull Run) I'm really not sure why so many people who usually get messages haven't been getting their Patreon notifications lately, but I've emailed the Patreon folks about it to see if they know anything about it.

2015-03-06 01:36:12 +0000 UTCYeah I get messages from Patreon, and I donate 5 dollars each month. Just curious, what were the choices?

2015-03-06 01:14:32 +0000 UTCThis makes more sense. Thanks. It's amazing that you can focus so much that this pace is possible. Way to go!

2015-03-06 00:06:23 +0000 UTCOnly those that paid enough get notifications that there is a poll. Your announcement on the result goes to us all, including those of us that didn't pay as much.

2015-03-06 00:05:37 +0000 UTCWe're switching to the one-week schedule during the Zulu series, which means it will go by in a matter of weeks. In order to get all the writing done, all the art made, and finally all the production edits in, we need a pretty big ramp of time to prepare. We're actually going to need another topic this month in order to keep things on track for the future.

2015-03-05 23:29:11 +0000 UTCTheodora was pretty amazing, she's one of my favorites too! I don't know too much about Eleanor of Aquitaine though, although I'd definitely be interested in learning about her.

2015-03-05 18:08:03 +0000 UTCNo problem, happy to do it!

2015-03-05 18:03:09 +0000 UTCBless you, sir, for suggesting it!

2015-03-05 17:49:44 +0000 UTCHUZZAH! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!! Theodora ranks as one of my favorite female figures in all of history, right up there with Eleanor of Aquitane (who I feel she would have gotten along with very well...).

2015-03-05 17:49:02 +0000 UTCAre we getting ahead of ourselves? I would have thought that we would do better focusing attention (both viewers and staff) on 1-2 histories. The viewers are excited about the south sea bubble, and the staff about zulu. Wouldn't it have been a better time to do a poll when zulu 1 came out?

2015-03-05 16:32:41 +0000 UTCSame here, I didn't get any emails from Patreon about voting. On the flip side this sounds like what I would have voted for anyway.

2015-03-05 13:50:47 +0000 UTCI've been playing Attila Total War and it's been peaking my interest about the late Roman Empire(s)

2015-03-05 12:56:18 +0000 UTCYou have to pay at least $5 which is BS but I kind of get it. Still don't like it.

2015-03-05 12:13:24 +0000 UTCNice! I don't know much about the Byzantine empire but my interest has gone up lately. Hopefully you guys will cover some of the Byzantine military, the legacy of the Roman army.
