Bleh. I hate the internet's obsession with samurai-era Japan. Ah well, I'm sure you guys can make it interesting. As a side note, as exciting as war is, can we maybe get some Extra History on something like art? I think you could talk a lot about how the French art world transformed with the birth of the Academy and then Impressionism. It's also a period that's very relevant to the games industry, I think.

So, the raffles puts the given topic in every other voting? That's a really awesome system! It's to be expected of game designers.

Mask

He can come back some day, but probably not in the very next vote.

Extra History

Sorry James, but it looks like the Rise of Alexander the Great won't be the next EH arc :(

Happy with the survey results so far. While I voted for Alexander the Great over Sengoku Jidai, I was very much split between the two, so I'd have been happy seeing either win. Out of curiosity, if Alexander the Great, the suggested topic, doesn't win, will he stick around in the topics to vote on?

I'm happy with the survey results so far. Personally, I hope to see topics that move away from Western oriented (pardon the pun) themes to other topics, that don't already have a huge wealth of resources available.

Yes, we are going to finish the current WWI mini-series before starting the new one, but as Brian said, we're only covering the causes of WWI in this particular mini-series. As for what happened during the war... that'd be a topic fo a different, future mini-series. :)

Extra History

Awesome! I actually really like all those topics. (Advice: If French Revolution wins, I would end it in 1795, when things cooled down considerably; also, whenever Haiti came up, I'd be very brief and just say "But that's a really deserves to be its own topic".)

Brian Rose

The build up to WWI will be (as I understand it); the war itself will likely be revisited in future installments (part by part)

Brian Rose

Is the WWI stuff going to be done before we move on to the next topic?
