About Hunter X Hunter & Dragon Ball GT

Hey everyone!

We wanted to be completely transparent with you. We’ve decided to pause Hunter x Hunter for now. We just finished the Phantom Troupe arc and while we can appreciate how ambitious and creative the show is, it honestly didn’t resonate with us the way we hoped it would.

We always want to focus on series that genuinely excite both us and our viewers. Lately it’s been clear that interest in Hunter x Hunter hasn’t been very high compared to other reactions we’ve done. That really matters to us, because if our audience isn’t feeling engaged and we aren’t fully feeling it either then it doesn’t make sense to keep pushing forward just for the sake of finishing. We love when our community is genuinely excited and watching together, and we want to keep that energy strong.

As for the show itself, the Phantom Troupe arc confirmed a lot of what we had been feeling. We know it’s considered one of the best arcs in the series, so we went into it with high hopes, but for us, it felt surprisingly anticlimactic. The setup was great, the characters had potential, but the payoff just didn’t land. The pacing was uneven, the tension kept resetting instead of building, and the ending didn’t feel satisfying or emotionally impactful.

A few other things also made it harder to stay invested:

The pacing often dragged, making it tough to stay immersed through long stretches of setup with little payoff.

The emotional connection wasn’t strong enough. It’s a brilliant story on paper, but we didn’t feel it the way we do with other series.

Moments that should have hit hard didn’t. The excitement came in small bursts, but the momentum never carried through.

The viewer interest wasn’t there, with noticeably less engagement, fewer comments, and slower overall growth around this series. That isn’t the main reason, but it plays a part, because we value when both sides are genuinely enjoying the journey together.

That doesn’t mean we dislike the show or that it’s bad. It’s just not clicking for us right now and we would rather put our time and energy into something that truly inspires us and connects with everyone watching.

So for now, we’re officially moving on to Dragon Ball GT! 🔥
We are super excited for this new series. It’s something many of you have wanted to see and it already gives us that nostalgic, energetic feeling we love sharing with you all.
