2025-03-01 08:50:54 +0000 UTCAh yeah guys, just to jog your memory on what we have already been shown.....in episode 1 it was expressed that the Fourth Hokage 'imprisoned the fox', & then immediately they revealed the fox actually ended up being sealed inside of Naruto.... so they showed us the Fourth Hokage is the one who sealed it into him... that is why Jiraiya is referring to the fourth when studying the seal formation. Also in episode 1 it was expressed that the Fourth Hokage was the one standing on the Toad. This information helps for trying to connect even more dots as we learn more : )

I suspect Kakashi realized he wouldn't be the best teacher for Naruto's individual development since they're so different, but Jiraiya and Naruto are almost like a lost father and son reunited since they're so much alike personality wise. The fact a legendary sannin is taking it upon himself to personally teach Naruto definitely is a clue that Naruto is more important than even he realizes right now.
