Hoi all!~
It's been a while, but I've finally got more updates on my Kerfus animation! For a moment, I had lost steam with this animation and I felt frustrated at the direction I was taking it. After taking a small break from this project, I am feeling reinvigorated and returning to it with renewed optimism.
Unlike my previous animated WIPs, which I often tidy up and add a little bit of colouring to, this rough WIP remains in its most honest and rough form. The reason for this change is because I felt I had been spending too much time cleaning up a rough WIP, which ultimately wasn't going to be used in the end. What it leaves me with is more time focusing on the how the image moves, rather than beautifying it, resulting in a more bouncy and animated look before I go to render.
In addition to this, I began learning a technique I should have been practicing a very long time ago - layering animations. Each layer on the animation is represented by a different colour. Separating these layers out instead of keeping it as one unified layer allows animations to be edited and ultimately more varied with a lot more ease.
I'm feeling good about things. Let me know if you have any thoughts on the animation so far.~
