Plans

This is a bit of a follow up to the last journal I posted. Thanks for all of the replies, I know I didn't reply to nearly all of them but I certainly read all of them. I'm surprised that its a nearly 50/50 split on outright leaving and staying.

I am trying my best to stay at the moment. Thankfully these last few days have been calm and steady, so my stress level isn't peaking. I still get quite a few nasty customers, though I am least getting a breather between them. I am still on the edge of leaving, and I have a 'trigger' that will basically confirm that I'm walking out. The other day I got an informal warning about not trying to offer a credit card to a customer. Credit cards have always been important, but nothing serious, so to get a warning about not selling one is something that has never happened to me before. I certainly don't like the added stress of forcing the offer on customers. If it happens again for something stupid, like not offering it on a phone charger, I will walk out.

In the event it comes to that, I have been trying to prepare to go full time on art or try a remote job. I have been slowly setting up for streaming, and I'm pretty confident that I can actually stream for a long while without running out of steam or getting distracted. I just need to figure out a day that I can consistently do it. I'm also figuring out commissions or even a 'growth drive' style event.

I have been playing around with Zbrush, and its been a lot of fun. I have made two characters successfully (one which you'll be seeing soon), and I've been working on a new Vavira. Its surprisingly not taking me very long to make these sorts of characters, so it might be something I offer as commissions in the future.

As for the 'growth drive', I've been thinking about celebrating the new Vavira shape with a 'grow the hoard' drive. I would 3D model/sculpt personal items or shaped skulls to represent your character being added to her bone collection (and her body, of course). It sounds like a lot of fun, and it would be good practice.

Right now these are just ideas and I would only start one of them if I either quit my job or if school slows down. I am certainly not gonna try adding to my overflowing plate.

I do think I'm going to stick to 1 round of polls per month, though in place of that second poll I'll be showing off whatever I'm making in Zbrush.
