Not So Subtle
Added 2017-07-24 20:49:04 +0000 UTCI often question if Yalli even tries to blend in. When she goes to town, she always picks out some of the craziest outfits. She always says its 'better than going naked', but is it really?
This is the first render on my new computer. I was blown away by how fast it rendered. Something like this would have taken my laptop 9+ hours. My new desktop did this in around 40 minutes.
There are a number of errors in it, all of which I did my best to cover up. I think I managed to fix them well enough.
Render tip: Iray light intensity
Iray and 3Delight are very different in terms of lights. What you might notice in Iray is turning up the intensity parameter doesn't do much. You need to look at the Lumens parameter. Don't be afraid to crank this up to crazy levels. The default is at 5000, and that is probably the brightness of a candle. For the sun, I turned it up to 150,000. Photoshop helped out too.
With my new computer, I'll be pretty much relearning a new render engine. Expect a few not-so-stellar renders for some time as I get used to it.
