Sexy Yalli being sexy.
This is one of my longest renders to date. It took 9 hours to render this one. The wait was worth it though, and I learned a bit more about the Iray engine.
In the future, I want all of my renders to have this sort of quality. The only thing holding me back at this point is a new computer. I'm worrying about the health of my laptop, so I'm not too eager to render scenes like this on it. The last thing I need is a dead graphics card.
Rendering Tip: Add Blur Later.
Daz has a nice feature where you can set the FOV and it will automatically add blur to the image. While the effect is great, the render time is not. The render time is doubled, if not tripled, by adding a FOV blur. I tried to cut down on the render time for this image by not using a FOV blur, but that of course meant the building in the back would be just as sharp as Yalli.
Instead, I used a depth camera to render the scene again. It turned everything in the foreground white and made the building in the back black. This made the building easy to select in Photoshop so I could blur it.
The results are usually pretty good. The Daz FOV blur will always be more accurate, but it will be slower to render.
