Rendering Tip: use Photoshop!
It is near impossible to get the exact lighting that you want, but even mediocre lighting can be improved in Photoshop.
While in Photoshop, play around with the layer adjustments. You'll find them in the layers panel. For this scene, I selected a Hue/Saturation adjuster, set it to colorize, then set the layer blending mode to 'screen'. The results are a faded but brighter sunlight. You can adjust how powerful the effect is with the opacity of the layer.
I recommend that you always use Photoshop to touch up renders. At a bare minimum, use some Contrast and Saturation adjusters. Photoshop is the easiest way to change up the lighting in a scene without needing to re-render anything.
