This week I have been doing my last pass on book 2 so I can get it sent to the final proofer. Even going through the proofing process typos always get through. I had some lovely ARC readers find them and let me know so I could fix them before the final book was released which was amazing.
It always amazes me how long it takes to go from a completed story to actually holding the book in your hands. From here book 2 will go to the final proofing pass, then to the audiobook narrator. At that point the manuscript is done and then it’s waiting on the cover and marketing materials.
The cover timing is almost completely out of my control. The artist is booked and amazing at what she does. I cannot wait to see what she comes up with for book 2. Like I know it will be amazing since Indigo will be on the cover.
I cannot wait.
Thanksgiving is this week, and I will be taking a few days off to celebrate the holiday with my family, so you won’t hear from me next Sunday. If you are in the US I hope you get to have a relaxing day with friends and family.
