This might seem bad but remember these artifacts are actually a gift from the First Monster Lord to signify friendship with the Monster Realm. It’s already been implied that maybe the First Human King was silenced in some way and the relics confiscated by the Church at the very beginning. So really the Church has always been anti-Monster Realm. If Melina can somehow reveal the truth that these are Gifts of Peace from the Monster Realm in the right way, she might be able to condemn the Church as trying to foment chaos between the realms and committing Treason against the First King.

2026-02-24 23:44:24 +0000 UTCI said it in a view chapters before, that it was too foreseeable. Anyways thanks for the chapter. If I were the King, I would use this to weaken the church. How can they make some an Archbishop, when they are a wanted criminal? Is it really in the interest of the people or does their going on something fishy? Sowing the seeds of doubt would be enough to later retaliate against them.
