“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce: collaborative fire mode.”
Most of the audience stared at me, expressions ranging from curiosity to confusion. Clearly, the concept didn’t land—yet.
Unable to help myself, I grinned and threw my arms slightly wide.
“Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station!” I proclaimed, before coughing sheepishly. “Er... I mean, orbital defense net.”
I turned back toward the hologram, resisting the urge to wink, seemingly to the air. Somewhere, in some higher dimension, I felt certain Q was applauding.
