One of the best live shows I've seen was back in 2018: Nine Inch Nails at the South Bank Centre as part of the Meltdown series, curated that year by Robert Smith (The Cure). I say 'best' but to be honest, this is more an impression than vivid memory. I drank way too much and the second half of the show's a bit of a blur, but what I remember was brilliant.
(Coincidentally, it was also the last time I puked in public, leaving an unfortunate mess on the platform of London Bridge. Shameful: I'm too old for that shit.)
All that to say I've just started listening to Trent and Atticus' release for the upcoming Tron movie. If it's anything like the last one, the soundtrack's going to be infinitely better than the movie, a fairly low bar to clear. Daft Punk's a tough gig to follow, though.
Otherwise, writing continues apace. Once again, the word count doesn't capture the amount written, as I trimmed a couple of thousand from the previous chapter. I haven't posted the .pdf and ebook versions of the last chapter yet as I'm waiting for it to settle a bit, first.
Meanwhile, the first draft of the next chapter's pretty much done. I'm just letting it sit for a bit, and then I'll be posting it, either later today or sometime tomorrow.
