Apologies for the day-late update; I blame the heat. Also, I was kicking myself for the drop in output. After dropping the new chapter, I really struggled to get going on the new one and the writing languished. It was a struggle to get anything down. Fortunately, I eventually got over myself. Four thousand ain't bad, even if it falls below my weekly target. And finding the right tone for the next chapter took some work.
Otherwise, not much to say in this update. Or rather, there's plenty but it's just too damn hot. Another heatwave incoming, rising to a predicted thirty-four degrees Celcius by Tuesday. I'll be a puddle of barely-literate goo by mid-week.
Dear patrons, if your part of the world's trying to roast you too, please take care. Actually, even if it's not. Just, you know, take care of yourselves.

--> Sneak peek of the chapter in progress. I don't think I'll have it done-done by the end of the next week, so a sneak peek will have to suffice.

Getting some cold days down here in Aussielandia where its usually unbearably hot. Winter has arrived late after almost 3 months dry, but we're now into weeks of cold wet mornings. But I don't think our winters make it to European levels. sub zero is pretty rare, but its still been hard to force myself out the door every work day. Any weather delays on writing are fully understandable and relatable.
