Hello everyone!
This is the 'introduction post' for The Case of C and at the same time its first dev report.
So, what's The Case of C?
Well, if you have 'played' The Case of T+, you can have an idea of what this project is. And if you finished The Case of T+, I'm sure you saw the post-credits scene introducing this new project.
For those who didn't 'played' The Case of T (What are you waiting for?):
This new project is another part of the story for Omnia In Unum. And taking into account that mechanically it will work as The Case of T+ and the story continues where we left it on it, we can call it a sequel of that kinetic novel.
The story will follow the mysterious "Mr. Prisoner" on his new mission: To convince Candy to join Goddess Puritas' forces.
The most important thing we have to say is the pre-production phase is finished. I was hoping to start the project right after the release of The Case of T + but a lot of things happened and that is one of the reasons why it has taken a lot longer than expected, but we are finally ready to start the development.
The other reason is that, due to the style / simplicity of the project, I wanted to, at least, being able to make a leap in visual quality compared to the Case of T + and this took its time.
-RPG Maker MZ:
The first decision we made was to switch from MV to MZ. The reason? Well... obviously we are not going to take advantage of all the new things that the engine has so the change was decided for 3 main reasons:
1/Performance: This new version of the engine runs pretty smooth specially compared to its predecessor.
2/No Flickering: Yeah! That was a problem present on The Case of T+. The animations would flicker when loaded into memory so we had to use tricks to make it as less noticeable as possible. But now, this problem has disappeared in MZ.
3/Unified Engine?: Well, we decided to use RPG maker MZ to create Omnia In Unum (this was a hidden announcement ^^). And, as I have the idea to include all the sub-projects in the Main OIU (in some way) the easiest way to do that is using the same engine whenever possible.
-Update the Characters 3D Models:
The main thing in which we have spent the majority of the time was the updating of the character models.
Unknown Man:

We've updated everything on this model: his look, genitals, materials, clothes, even the beard (changed a few minutes before I rendered the poster XD).

But the most important thing is: Will we know the name of this strange (and lucky) character?
Candy:
First things first, as we did with Tefa (Tifa) we have found a 'parody name' for Cindy and it's: Candy.

On the graphics side, as you can see on the pictures, we've made a lot of changes as well, changed clothing colors and made it look better overall, changed her face to a more similar to Cindy one, leaving behind the much more 'toonish' original one for this semi-realistic one. We even gave her new teeth and eyeballs.

-Car, Garage & Light:
We gave a beautiful car to the Unknown Man, look how it shines... unfortunately for him, it doesn't work as well as it should on internal terms :P

I used this garage scene several times for my renders but with the new models and the car it seemed a bit outdated so I did some changes to make it look better, changed all its materials and added the sexy 'Candy Love' signboard on the wall.
And finally, I added the lightning to the scene. I spend almost 3 days fine tuning this mixture of lights so I hope you like it.

As you can see for the images, the overall visual quality has increased a lot compared to The Case of T+.
-Story
In the same way that we did with The Case of T+ and after thinking a lot about it, I have a rough idea of the story.
-Poster
Finally, I did a poster (w/ 2 versions) to show how sexy Candy is :)

Well this was all that’s been done and now here are the next steps for this project:
