IOS App Changes to Billing

UPDATE: Patreon has just let Meur know that these changes, although they will start to be implemented on November 4, will be rolled out gradually and may take several months to affect all Patreon users! These pricing changes might not show up on Meur's Patreon page immediately!

Hello, dears - Meur hopes that you are all doing well! 🌷

Meur wanted to let you know of a big change coming to Patreon on November 4 of this year:

Apple is requiring new purchases for Patreon memberships to be charged a 30% Apple Store fee in the iOS app.

This means that new memberships will have to pay that fee!

However, existing memberships will not be affected by this change. They will continue to be billed the current price and will not have to pay the 30% fee to the Apple Store.

This also does not affect Patreon memberships that are purchased outside the iOS app. For instance, if you purchase a new membership on the Android app or in a browser on your laptop/computer.
