Aaron really understands Frank Castle (the only thing I have a problem with is his relationship with his family being problematic. I always liked it as being the one bright spot in his life). You know when someone doesn’t have regard or understanding for the character (O’Niel/Bendis), when they portray him as a bloodthirsty idiot, rather than a broken man who is well aware he’s a bad guy, and openly hates himself for doing what he does. Yes, Punisher is a villain, but not for the reasons writers like that think
