Considerations:
I have been to India more often than any other foreign country, so I am rather more familiar with it culturally. Indians are the largest or second largest group of international students at UCB from year to year so there's a certain amount of realism involved. However, we will need to make sure Roomie is visually distinct which may be hard (she could easily end up looking a lot like Selena or Kiana).
I consolidated Europe so now it's basically the northern part from the British Isles as far East as Poland. We can narrow it down later if needed. A European Roomie would give us the biggest possible range of eye and hair colors.
An African Roomie, if from sub-Sahara, would be our second ever black character, however, I don't really know as much about life in modern Africa outside of Egypt so she might lack verisimilitude, or just culturally be more European.
