How to Access Return to Dolmenwood Exclusive Content

Recently, I've been fielding multiple inquires about how to access the Patreon-exclusive Return to Dolmenwood content. This post should clarify how to do so.

First, as always, thank you for supporting 3d6 DTL and your continued enthusiasm for our new Dolmenwood campaign! Your monthly contribution is the sole reason this campaign is being played and published, and the funds also help the entire channel on the larger scale.

Here's my process when I'm ready to publish new Dolmenwood (DW) episodes on Patreon:

• I upload the video version of the episode to YouTube, and publish it as unlisted. This means that it will not appear on the 3d6 DTL YouTube channel nor in your YouTube feed. Only people who are given the secret link to the video will be able to access it; in this case, those are paid-tier subscribers to this Patreon (you reading this).

• I upload the audio podcast version of the episode directly to Patreon. That audio file is hosted directly on Patreon. The entire audio podcast has a bespoke RSS (Real Simple Syndication) Feed, which can be input into all major pod catchers like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Castbox, Overcast, etc.

• I publish two separate Patreon posts, one announcing the video publication and providing the secret YouTube link to access it, and one announcing the audio podcast publication, which embeds the episode directly in the post (but can also be accessed in your favorite pod catcher using the RSS Feed).

• If you have your email notifications on, you should get two emails, one for each post.

• I also post links to both Patreon posts in the Announcements channel of 3d6 DTL's Discord community server. If you haven't joined the Discord, well, you're missing out.

The best way to ensure that you don't miss an episode is to make sure you have email notifications on for whenever we publish new content on Patreon.

• Go to your User Profile.

• Click "Settings" on the left hand side.

• Click "Email notifications".

• Toggle on "General creator updates".

If you'd rather not get emails, then it's still extremely easy to access the content.

• Go to the 3d6 DTL Patreon home page.

• Click the "Collections" tab directly underneath the header.

• Click "Return to Dolmenwood" under the Collections section.

• Once in the Return to Dolmenwood collection, all DW-related posts will be listed. Click any of them to get access.

  • REMEMBER: The secret links to the unlisted YouTube videos are inside the posts clearly labeled as "Return to Dolmenwood Ep [XX] - [Episode Title] | YouTube Video".

To access the audio podcast RSS Feed, do the following:

• Click the little podcast icon below the page header.

• That will yield the following pop-up:

• Clicking on any of the pre-selected podcasting platforms will open the episode in the respective platform.

• If your pod catcher is not listed, click on "Other podcast apps".

• This will change the pop-up to the following:

• Click "Copy RSS link". The link will be copied onto your clipboard, and you can paste it in to your pod catcher of choice.

  • You'll have to figure out where to input the RSS feed link on your favorite pod catcher, as that's beyond the scope of these instructions, and I'm not your dad. It should be fairly obvious on all catchers.
