I really loved how this drama interwove queer elements through the misunderstanding Ryan had about Deok Mi and the story about the writer and photographer. It’s not very common in KDramas although recently has been popping up more in my opinion. It’s not the main lead’s first time being in such a role though. He (Kim Jae Wook) has previously played an unapologetic gay character in a 2008 movie called ‘Antique Bakery’ and in a 2011 musical ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’ he played a transgender character. As part of preparations he volunteered at a transgender bar in order to understand the role better. And he’s also had many thriller, romantic and comedy roles. A really broad discography which I love. And he’s a really loveable person from how he comes across in his interviews.

I loved evertything else about this episode. I love the moments between Ryan and Sian. The whole trip to the writer´s house and that Ryan finally knows. I am excited for the next episode.

The actress that plays the director has been in so many Kdramas (9) that I have watched that I had to look it up. I really enjoyed her characters in Reply 1988 and Crash Landing on You. But she really knows how to portray an unlikeable character too.
