DailyMotion's annoying ads...

Hello everyone! 💕

I just wanted to pop in and say that I understand the absolute frustration it is to have those stupid, long, annoying and repetitive ads pop up on my DailyMotion videos!! Whenever I watch a show on there I have to deal with those as well and I hate them!! Unfortunately DailyMotion does not give us an option to disable the ad play. Since this is a free site we can use to host our videos (as opposed to paying over $7k for Vimeo) the exchange is that they get to put ads on the videos.

HOWEVER... there is a solution!! A lot of the subscribers have talked about downloading a simple ad blocker that eliminates the ads and you won't have to deal with them anymore. I am not familiar with the different ones people have used that work best so I am asking the subscribers to help me on this one!

Please share and comment down below if you use a free ad blocker that works well in getting rid of ads during the DailyMotion videos so other subscribers can enjoy them ad free as well! I and the other subscribers dealing with this pain appreciate any feedback on this!

Love you all!!! 💕💕💕

I use Chrome extensions Ghostery and uBlock Origin.

I'm usually watching on my desktop and the ad block I'm using is AdBlocker Ultimate. It works just fine for me and it's free :) I don't remember if I've got ads on my phone while watching from DailyMotion? @.@ can't remember.

Same here, it works perfect on my phone.

I use a browser one called AdBlock, the icon is a white hand in the middle of an red octagon. I love it as you can make it pause blocking ads for one time on a page or always. It is great for making sure you don't get unsavory ads and have to allow permission of each website platform I use. For example making it 'always' show ads on youtube, but unblocking ads for a website like kissanime 'once' as I want to watch a video but the ads aren't 100% pg so it is better to block them if I am just browsing.

I'm using the free ad blocker "uBlock origin" and so far so good but haven't had that long yet. I was using "ad blocker" that claimed it was free but only for so many ads then it stopped working completely after 3 weeks and they wanted you to pay for a subscription to turn it back on so wasn't too happy about that.

I use this free one https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-%E2%80%94-best-ad-blocker/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom

Since the links are mostly for android users I’ll link the one I use on my iOS devices. It works great and was pretty simple to use! You don’t have to purchase the premium or anything. the base one should work just fine if all you want is to block the daily motion ads. It’s called AdGaurd: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/adguard-adblock-privacy/id1047223162

I watch on my desktop and I just got a free adblocker called uBlock Origin. It's really good. I can watch your daily motion videos without any ads now plus it blocks ads on youtube! ^^ It's a Google Chrome extension so I'm not sure if it'll work with other browsers.

Darkfire

Same one⬆️

I have Ad Blocker on my phone. The icon is a red stop sign that says AD BLOCKER. It's in play store and free.

I like content posted on dailymotion, it loads faster for me than vimeo anyway. I don't mind the ads so much, I use the time to close my eyes and rest them for a few seconds. But thanks for all the tips to avoid the ads.

for people still searching for an adblocker, 'fair adblock' works fine for me for chorme/edge on desktop! Link: https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/fair-adblocker/jccfboncbdccgbgcbhickioeailgpkgb

try downloading the browser "brave" if I'm not wrong it has ad block with it

sopesvmin

just normal ad blocker is good for this

julia

Oh, I thought you guys got paid through ads so I didn't mind it too much. Ublock Origin is really good for browsers - if you're on an android phone, the DuckDuckGo browser automatically blocks ads etc (while also protecting your privacy!)

i usually watch patreon stuff on my ipad only and for some reasons i don’t get an unreasonable amount of ads?! maybe 3-4 short 20second ones in an hour video, that doesn’t bother me at all. if those give you trouble for some reason just exit full screen-mode while the ad plays and it should stop showing you a black screen. but when you watch on your pc literally any adblocker should do the job. and like suggested earlier, browsers with build in ones are even easier if you have trouble with them.

I usually use this one, and so far it's great https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hsv.freeadblockerbrowser

Nica

I downloaded the Opera browser and when I watch videos on Dailymotion, there are no ads, it has an inbuilt adblocker. So ppl could try it out to see if it works for them

@everyone: just download the brave browser and use it for stuff like this. It has a build in addblocker and is safe to use for everyone
