I'm still in love with Hobi's rendition of Cherry Blossom...

idk if someone said this but this changed my ramen game lol i felt so stupid they have the amount of water you need in the back of the package it comes out perfectly every time . and if i want a spicy (dry) ramen not soup more like pasta with meat i reduce the water to almost half put the flavoring in let it boil and then a american yellow cheese and some cooked sausages omg great lazy food lol and you can always add veggies in there its so good

Yanira kuhia

omg i remember your 40th time really flies

i rewatched the latest run ep on vlive and weverse just to get a feel for the difference since i hadn't tried weverse in a while and so many people seemed to prefer their subs. tbh, surprisingly, they weren't that different! there were things i liked better about the weverse subs (like how they sub the names the boys are actually saying vs always using the stage names) and vice versa with vlive. i guess it's just up to personal preference after all~~ I'll probably stick with vlive just bc it's what i'm used to, but i can def see the value in the weverse version! i guess i kind of think of the difference as like when you're in a language class and the teacher says not to ask for/study literal translations bc all you really need to understand is what things means figuratively, but i've always liked to be aware of the literal translations as well because it helps me better understand sentence structure in another language vs my own. i guess that's why i prefer the vlive subs even though the translations seem to be pretty similar?? anyway this has been very interesting for me to compare! thanks for the responses~~

as far as the timeline of 2018 goes, i believe the time that discussion happened was in the first few months of the year. they later said that during that time they went on a trip alone (no cameras, no staff, just them) together which taehyung planned. they talked about everything and decided to stay together. at that time they were working on ly: tear which came out in may. when this run episode was filmed they already had their hair dyed and were probably starting filming/shooting things for the tear/fake love comeback. tear was originally supposed to come out earlier but they pushed it back because they were struggling. so yes you're correct about this being filmed after that!

hannah roboto

woah woah weverse subs are so much better. They translate the feelings of what they say properly and more smoothly to english speakers and tries to help us understand jokes that are more korean based while vlive translates it almost too literal to the point where it wouldn't make that much sense to someone who isn't familiar with the korean language (also they have a lot of typos lmao). I just think understanding the feel of what they mean and the jokes makes the episodes much more funny. But I guess it's subjective.

tina

Not done watching but the spanking game moment is one of those that I think of when people ask what BTS are really like. They're philanthropic millionaire artists who spank each other for shxts and giggles lol

Wow 3 episode in one...this is a very nice surprise. These episode always get me rolling on the floor. These boys are just crackheads, and i love them. Hobi's voice is a "chef kiss", hope his next mixtape is all singing. The butt slapping was so funny & so was the karaoke (OMG what a mess🀣). I love how your brain works, you actually guess all that just from what they were wearing. And I agree with you about Jin end of year speech. After I saw that speech and when back to was this episode, it does make sense. Thanks for the awesome reactions and have a very awesome Birthday...borahaeπŸ’œπŸ˜˜

Yeah I also find the subs on weverse much better and hope she switches over. The weverse ones I find to be much more like natural speaking, much funnier, and they make the effort to translate the puns so we get what they're laughing about.

K E

subs are better translated on weverse though, vlive gets them wrong a lot. so i hope she’ll switch to weverse when the eps come around. and the subs are funnier there lol

onlyastarion

for the ones that are available, thanks for using vlive! weverse is great but imo the subs are not nearly as good and helpful/explanatory as the vlive ones. I've watched a couple eps on both just to compare and the vlive subs are always worlds better, no exaggeration

Thank you for reacting to the last 3 episodes of the season together. You do so much and I hope you know how much it's really appreciated. I hope you've been enjoying this just as much as I have watching it with you. I think you are right about the time frame. I remembering hearing them say that January and early February was a very hard time for them, I think they may have been discussing whether to continue on then. And I think they had made the decided to stay together about mid February (just me speculating based on things they discussed in vlogs and things). I'm so glad they got through that period of time and though I know they still face difficulties from time to time I really do feel it's like what RM said during the 2020 Fiesta Party that he feels they create something better being together and they don't have to do it alone. They have each others support and are stronger as a team. And it's lovely to see that they have encouragement and support to do their own projects as well. That they are able to express their own music with their members love and support as well as the company giving them the freedom to express themselves more. There is a benefit to having a positive energy exchange, seeing are idols happy, well taken care of and growing as people not only makes us happy as their fans but makes us want to do better ourselves and share in the lessons we teach each other as we grow. It's beneficial for all and I hope that continues, that the importance of the artists being healthy and happy is always at the forefront. And that that becomes the normal standard practice. I really loved the In the Soop series a lot and like you said during your live I would love to see other groups and the fans get to experience that together too. It really is healing for both artist and their fans. I feel lucky to have had my group experience that and share in that with them especially knowing were they started from, a small company with little. And other small companies may not have the resources to do this for their artists so I'm grateful that they are able to now. I didn't become army til 2018 so I think sometimes newer fans like myself can take things for granted sometimes because we didn't experience things from the beginning and I believe there are many things that I'm still learning about because I feel like it is much different experiencing things in real time with the the members. It's a full history that I have not had with them and I feel I've been basically reading cliffnotes to catch up. And I try to take that into consideration because no one expected they would make it as far as they have not even themselves. Many doubted them and dismissed them because they were from small beginnings. And there are many groups out there that are just like that right now I'm sure and I think it's important to be conscious of that. Not to dismiss or discount a small or unheard of group because they could be Nobodies to Legends like Bangtan is. It does make me a little sad that I didn't learn about them sooner but I'm still extremely thankful that I'm here now.

vlive updated their app and site, and it sucks but episode 86 and up is on weverse (weverse is much better)

sopesvmin

I've had exactly the same problem with vlive. Recently me and my mum have been watching the run episodes from the beginning since she hasn't seen any of them. And any time it automatically goes onto the next one or I click onto the next episode it pauses and won't play unless I refresh. I started just having the run episodes I want to show loaded up and clicking on those tabs to play the videos instead. Also as a quick note I don't like the new vlive layout. Not very usable. Loved your reaction though, these episodes are sooooo memeable and are famous within the community for how many moments you miss, like namjoon's "be the leader, they said, it would be fun, they said" face while j-hope and jimin sing 'fire' while bbq-ing. Just amazing! XD

Cabbage Dynamite

Happy early birthday! Love this set of episodes, these boys are the funniest. I love how these poems are little representations of Namjoon and Yoongi's lyric styles - Namjoon with the wordplay, being sentimental and heartfelt while Yoongi's is telling a story, and straightforwardly baring his emotions. Yoongi says he's always writing thoughts down and then goes back to his notes when he's writing lyrics, and it's cool when you can see things he talks about pop up in his lyrics some time later, such as with Shadow.

K E

Regarding the whole Yoongi mentioning shadow before the song came out, I don't think they had MOTS planned yet, I just think that BTS genuinely talks about what's been in their hearts and minds for years. Yoongi has probably been feeling the darkness & shadows of fame since 2018 & so he related that to the MOTS psychology and used the darkness of fame as his "shadow" part of his psyche. They have referred to sooo many things they've talked about even yearrrs ago and use the same metaphors and references for many songs. It just goes to show how genuine their music is and they tell stories and feelings that they might have been sitting with for a long time. im absolutely in love with that. P.S. i died laughing rewatching these eps alongside you. These eps were hilarious

tina

As soon as you paused it I thought the same thing. That they were speaking about the possible disbandment. It lines up perfectly, even if there was no official discussion, they probably mentioned it amongst themselves

karla francis

The entirety of episode 54 was a mess πŸ˜‚ I can't believe the staff seriously thought these boys would be able to complete 50 rounds πŸ˜… Maybe next time they should try ping pong instead πŸ˜‚ These episodes were released a couple months after the "Love Yourself: Tear" album was released, which is why we have an entire black haired Bangtan πŸ₯° Considering the year, as well as the subject matter of "Outro: Tear," I'm almost certain you are correct in saying that these poems and the conversation in episode 56 were in relation to them disbanding. You're very sharp to have put all the pieces together like that !! I'm so glad you finally got to see these episodes (and thank you for reacting to all 3 in one go for us) πŸ₯° These episodes were so funny πŸ˜‚ I think my favourite moments were the karaoke (Hobi's vocals 😍) and their poetry readings πŸ₯° Speaking of which, the song you were trying to think of during Hoseok's poem was 'Magic Shop.' I really liked his word play in the poem by using 'ssi' (씨) which means both seed and Mr., and then at the end when he changed saranghae to ssi-ranghae πŸ˜‚ Jin's poem was so funny lmao I love him πŸ˜‚ Take it easy this coming week if you need !! I won't wish you happy birthday just yet, since I plan to do it on the day 😝 In the meantime, I'll wait excitedly (but patiently) for the next Soop episode πŸ₯° Once again, thank you and get some rest πŸ’œ

Taehyungs song 4 o'clock is about Jimin and meeting him early in the morning. They also do letters to each other in Bon Voyage season 2, Taehyungs letter to Jimin is where the crying is from. All letters are so touching to each other.

I purple ? Jimin

I'm glad you took my advice and did these 3 together! It definitely is worth it so you can watch the two-parters coming up together in the same video! Also to answer your question, during the karaoke, when Jhope & JK picked their song about cherry blossoms, they mentioned that they are filming during the time of the cherry blossom blooming season, but by the time it airs the season would be over, thus they chose the song "cherry blossom ending". So from what they said we know this episode was filmed around like March/April. I also personally agree with what you said about their conversations relating to the end of the year speech on disbanding. It seems like this was occurring in the middle/end of disbandment questions. Since they decided to continue run bts, it makes me think they already decided on not disbanding, but thats just my guess.

Jessica

Happy early birthday Anitra! We are almost bday buddies. I will be 30 on Friday!! :) I also agree about the time frame of this episode. It seems like they had made their decision to stay but their hearts still seemed heavy while reading their pomes. I also love the reference to "Shadow" in Yoongi's poem. You have probably noticed that a lot of his work connects with his past work. This is one of my favorite things about his music. It all connects which add to its authenticity. Thank you for all you do and enjoy your birthday week! You deserve it!

Lou H.

Of course Hobi would suggest a spanking. Of course. Also, can we talk about that boys VOCALS?? Seriously. There's a reason he's credited for background vocals on half their last album including VL solo songs. I need a vocal son on his next mixtape. Please Hobi. BLESS US.

SNBangtan

You're right about the timing. This was filmed at the end of March, when they were just coming out of the bad times. Jimin has a log from April 2018 where he talks kinda vaguely about going through a rough time in January-February, and things slowly starting to get better mid-Feb to beginning of March... so, this is after they recommitted to staying together, but obviously, it's not like everything just went back to sunshine and roses. 2018 continued to be a really tough year for them, but at this point, at the very least, they had decided to stick together and not disband.

Alix Drifty

These were recorded in March 2018 from memory and they were seriously considering if they wanted to go on or not

Cintamani Crawford

I do think the black hair rarely happens but black-haired Bangtan was a blessing. I definetly feel like this was filmed around the time of their discussion, when i seen this episode again for the first time after the boys told us about their discussion i also wondered, i agree with what you. Thank you for the reaction and happy early birthday, have fun and don't worry over the uploads.

Reemah

This is one of the funniest episodes! They are SOOOOO bad at games!

Cintamani Crawford

Thank you Anitra, don’t stay up to late
