The emcee returned to Mai.

"So, with that said, we'll wrap you up nice and tight!"

He announced, and without waiting for Mai's reply, he quickly began tying her up with rope.

"So, with that said? What do you mean? I haven't received any explanation from you yet!"

"Well, someone with Mai-san's level of skill could easily escape from hand and foot restraints, right?"

Mai, easily swayed by flattery, said,

"Well, yeah. A magician of my caliber could escape in the blink of an eye if I wanted to."

She said, not entirely displeased.

"Then it's settled! Please do it. I'll make sure the fee is generous."

Mai, who was extremely weak to money, said,

"I guess I have no choice. But you'll pay me back double for this later," she insisted.

Mai was wrapped up in rope from head to toe, and finally, a ball gag was placed in her mouth.

Then, the end of the rope tied to Mai's feet was attached to the frame of the hot air balloon.

Mai didn't understand why he was tying the rope to such a place and tried to ask the emcee, but the ball gag prevented her from speaking.

と言うなり舞の返事を待たないでさっさと舞の体ににロープを結び始めた。

「と、言うことって、何よ。まだ貴方から何も説明受けてないけど？」

「だって、舞さんレベルの技術をお持ちの方なら手と足の拘束ぐらいだと、あっという間に外せるんでしょ？」

おだてに弱い舞は

「そうね。まぁ私くらいのマジシャンならその気になればあっと言う間だけどね。」

とまんざらでもなさそうに言った。

「だったら良いじゃないですか。お願いしますよ。ギャラは弾みますから」

お金に滅法弱い舞は

「仕方がないわね。この借りは後で倍にして返し貰いますからね」と念を押した。

舞は全身をロープでグルグル巻にされ、最後にボールギャグを口に嵌められた。

そして、最後に舞の足に縛られたロープの端が熱気球のフレーム部分に結び付けられた。

舞は彼が何でロープの端をそんな所に結びつけているのか分からず司会者に聞こうとしたがボールギャグが邪魔で声にならない。

全ての準備が整うと司会者の男はテレビカメラと周囲の観客たちに向かって大きな声で叫んだ

「お待たせいたしました。それでは只今より世紀の空中脱出マジックショーをおこないます。」
