This is the return of Past Mortem and the breakdown of how the Nokia N-Gage went wrong. WOW this was a doozy! It's been a long time since the last Past Mortem, so I feel like our training wheels spun off a bit. This took us a LONG time to make, with tons of research and testing and interviewing. But I think this story deserved it! I'm hoping that the next Past Mortem doesn't take so long. And I already have a couple follow-ups started. My goal is to have the next one done in July.... we'll see how that goes! And hopefully it will be the follow-up to the Kinect.
But gosh, where do we start with the N-Gage?? I think the weirdest behind-the-scenes thing that happened was that playing the N-Gage so much really aggravated Grace's TMJ. Turns out N-Gages were not designed with ergonomics in mind– who knew?!
Derek edited this video all by himself, which meant that our main editing computer was all tied up for putting the finished touches on... the N-Gage Punching Weight! Yup!! Another N-Gage video! Expect it to go live a bit later today. Sorry for the delay, but we've been all-hands on the Past Mortem for the last week or so. Holy crap, that means there's going to be ~45 minutes of N-Gage content in your timeline just in time for Taco Tuesday 🌮🎉

Duke Nuken Advance, Ecks vs Seve and Doom II games I only learned about years and years later thanks to youtube videos from the SFF and the minime. It would be cool to video some more ports for N-Gage, Splint Cell Floors Theory, Call of Duty, Pandemonium!, Alien Front, Virtua Cop and Sega Rally (Sega Rally for GBA is better).

This system has such a neat history, and I'm glad someone gave the N-Gage the time of day! Like nothing ever went right for Nokia, but it was exciting to hear about nonetheless. Amazing fucking job with this video! Hope this video inspires lost media hunters to look for the Ngage reveal footage cause that would be so great to watch. I want to feel that secondhand embarrassment so bad. Also Derek please drop that soundcloud link to your Ngage rap mixtape. The public needs it.
