Where the heck did SSFF go?? New videos/podcasts/streams are coming!

First off: new video is coming to Patreon tonight, or maybe tomorrow. Punching Weight Donkey Kong Country ports!
So we've been pretty quiet for basically all of July. Why is that?? The reason for this is we've been moving to a new, bigger apartment! Which is exciting because our previous apartment was always just a little too small for what we wanted to do. It's unfortunate because it's been extremely exhausting. Even after moving everything, there's setting up internet, blah blah blah, fixing stuff our landlords didn't fix (for the record, because of the pandemic, we couldn't do an open house before signing the lease).
But the real issue is we haven't really been keeping you all in the loop and it's just been a month of inactivity from SSFF. That's our bad and we're really sorry!
Moving and furnishing the new office has been a pain because also thank to the pandemic we've had to order a lot of furniture online. We've been waiting just to put our office together. As you see from the photo, we've got a functioning office, but it's still mostly boxes and junk that has no where to go yet.
On another kinda related note, I was diagnosed with anxiety this month and am now on antidepressants. Maybe this is TMI, but I want you know that I've also been taking this time as a chance to get myself healthy and on a stable foundation before jumping full force back into production.
But things are starting back up! We've got one video popping out the oven any minute now and we've started outlining the video after that. We'll be back soon with streams, hopefully this week. And podcasts will resume on August 3rd!

Hey Uncle Derek, I was actually wondering what was going on with you guys. Thanks for the update and hope you're new home is great! :) I wanna say I've been suffering from quite chronic anxiety the last few years and it's only really calmed down a lot since I've been working from home away from the super-busy office I'm usually in :/ (but it's taken like 5+ months, lol) But I wanna say anxiety will usually calm down in the long run. Remember sometimes your brain has rewired itself to be anxious and it can take a while to work its way out. Keep breathing "properly", look after yourself and make sure you're sitting up straight! :) Remember also moving is SUPER stressful. I moved a couple of years ago while suffering from anxiety and it was horrible, lol. Maximum love to both you and Grace. You put endless smiles me and my GF's faces, but put yourself first and look after yourself! :D:D

My wife and I are preparing for a cross-country move in a couple weeks and we'll have no employment after this week... so we very much understand that it takes time to get setup and things figured out. Take care of yourselves first and foremost, that is always important but especially so during these incredibly stressful times. Very happy for both of you for having a bigger place finally, hope it works out really well for you, and looking forward to some sweet sweet punching weight when its ready. :)

I'd feel bad if you guys were making videos at the risk of your well-being just to make us happy. Besides, the rock wall outside the window looks awesome. Wonder if you'll see any wildlife on it.
