New video! | Why the Music in Dragon Quest XI is so Terrible

We have two massive videos for you today coming down the pipe (Derek's wrapping the other one up right now).
This video started when I asked Derek to turn down the battle music in Dragon Quest XI, and then we started to think about why we didn't like it. That led us down a thorny rabbit hole and into a big ol' 20 minute vid! Hope you enjoy it.
I say this in the video, but I'm not confident this won't get taken down or demonetized, so I'd like to underscore how grateful I am that you guys help us take chances on topics like this.
This video still needs the patreon credits, but the planned live date isn't for a week or so. We're planning on putting the finishing touches in after we make sure our next video is done and up on patreon (it is a monster!)

I agree with the politics (to me, denying Japanese war crimes and LGBTQ rights is absurd), but I was a little surprised by the tone by the end. I guess I just wasn't expecting it. Keep up the good work!

And extra shout outs to that Nier Automata music at the end. Y'all got taste. One quick thing, I think you might have mislabeled some of the music tracks in the video. The DQ7 track is labeled DQ8 and vice versa.

2018-09-30 23:41:28 +0000 UTCThe music is mostly recycled from previous DQ games, especially DQVIII, but the only thing I hate about the music is the BORING Boss theme, it's SO BAD! Oh well, it's still my GotY so far and possibly my new favorite DQ game ever.
